Braefield Nursing Home is based in the picturesque village of Connor, located between Antrim and Ballymena. Braefield is a 56 bedded Nursing Home spread over 3 units. Braefield Nursing Home is currently registered with the RQIA for 18 individuals with nursing and mental health needs, 17 individuals with physical disability requiring nursing needs and 21 individuals with dementia nursing needs. The categories of care we cater to are Mental Health Nursing, Frail and Elderly Nursing, and Dementia Nursing. The Role
The role of a Registered Nurse in our Mental Health services is a pivotal role in providing specialised care and support to residents with mental health needs, promoting wellbeing and enhancing their quality of life. The Registered Nurse is a leadership role, you will play a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality and person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents.

The role of Registered Nurse is always evolving and having a commitment to personal and professional development will ensure that you are able to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families.
Responsibilities
* Adopt a systemic, individual approach to all resident care plans and communicate the outcomes to the team both verbally and in writing, ensuring all risk assessment documentation is kept up to date.
* Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care.
* Deputise in the absence of the Unit Manager.
* Support and supervise new staff.
* Manage the assessment, implementation and evaluation of individual patient care plans while promoting a professional working environment to ensure a high standard of resident care.

* Valid UK NMC pin
* A Right to Work in the UK
* Ability to work independently and supervise a team
* A good standard of written and oral English
Desired Criteria
* Minimum of 6 months mental health nursing experience
* Previous care home experience
