About the Role
We're looking for a talented, experienced Sr Visual Designer to help shape our identity and visual language at HighRes Bio.
Location:
Remote in the United Kingdom or United States (ideally central or eastern time zone).
This role is perfect for someone who can elevate visual storytelling at scale— combining design excellence with strategic thinking, AI fluency, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You'll split your time between the digital product and marketing teams, ensuring cohesion of our brand and identity across every touchpoint—from sales collateral to software and hardware. As a visionary designer with exceptional taste, you'll harness HighRes Bio's 20-year legacy and shape its next chapter as a leader in biotech automation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead visual design for our core digital product: craft user-centered interfaces, iconography, data visualizations and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma or other tooling
• Own and evolve our brand identity: define typography, color palette, illustration style and motion guidelines that resonate across channels
• Maintain and document a unified end-to-end design system covering UI components and brand assets, driving consistency and efficiency
• Design marketing collateral—from sales decks and one-pagers to social assets, event materials and email templates—ensuring a cohesive look and feel
• Collaborate tightly with Product Managers, Engineers, Marketers and Content strategists to translate business goals and user insights into compelling visuals
• Iterate rapidly using user feedback, analytics and A/B test results to refine both product UI and marketing creatives
• Partner with external creative agencies and vendors to help scale our programs and creative output effectively.
What we're looking for
• 5+ years in visual/UI design with 2+ years in a lead/senior role, ideally in B2B SaaS or hardware tech
• Proven track record building and scaling a design system
• Mastery of Figma plus Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong sense of visual hierarchy, typography, color theory and composition
• Experience translating complex technical or scientific concepts into clear, compelling visuals
• Strong communicator and autonomous workstream leader who keeps stakeholders informed and integrates cross-functional feedback into design iterations
• A portfolio showcasing end-to-end visual design leadership: strategic campaigns, product UI, data visualizations, brand and exhibition booth design work
Nice to haves
• Motion-graphics skills (After Effects) for UI animations or marketing videos
• Background or strong interest in life sciences, lab automation or biotech
