About the Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely alongside experienced teachers and specialists to provide tailored support for pupils with Autism and SEMH. Your role will be pivotal in creating a safe, nurturing environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
What You\'ll Do
* Support individual and small groups of pupils with Autism and SEMH in their learning and social development.
* Help implement personalized learning plans and therapeutic interventions.
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence, and resilience.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and families to provide holistic care and support.
* Contribute to a welcoming, calm, and structured classroom atmosphere.
Who You Are
* Compassionate, patient, and understanding, with a genuine love for working with young people.
* Experience or interest in Autism and SEMH is highly valued (training will be provided).
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Flexible, proactive, and keen to learn new strategies and approaches.
