An opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing UK-based renewables developer (backed by a large renewables-focused investment fund).
We have an ambitious strategy, a strong core team, and significant funding in place, and will be rolling out a significant number of new facilities across the UK over the next two years.
Our development programme has reached the point where we are now ready to build out the legal team as our first facilities become fully operational throughout 2025.
The Opportunity
Working alongside our Head of Legal, this is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute Lawyer to join a renewable energy business undergoing significant growth.
The role offers abundant exposure to internal and external stakeholders, supporting the business with a wide range of matters including:
* New site acquisitions, construction and development, site operations, and offtake arrangements.
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating documents such as commercial agreements, construction contracts, lease documents, NDAs, and planning agreements.
* Assisting with financing/refinancing, acquisitions, and disposals.
* Supporting internal governance and approval processes, liaising with shareholders, and coordinating with compliance, finance, and other internal stakeholders.
* Carrying out factual and legal research as required.
* Supporting on general corporate matters such as employment, data protection, and company secretarial duties.
* Reviewing and updating policies and standard contracts.
* Contributing to legal and compliance training and the development of team members.
About You
You will be a qualified solicitor (cNQ-3+ PQE) in England & Wales either working in private practice or in-house, looking to join a fast-growing renewable energy business. Experience in areas such as Corporate, Real Estate, Construction, or Renewables would be beneficial.
