Chestnut Manor is a luxury care home in the heart of Wanstead in East London, offering exceptional care in a stunning, state-of-the-art environment. Our home provides residents with the highest standards of care, comfort and companionship, ensuring each individual receives a personalised experience tailored to their unique needs.
We are now looking for a passionate, experienced and dedicated Home Manager to lead our team and maintain the excellence our care home is known for.
As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the care home. Your leadership will play a key role in maintaining the home’s reputation while offering vital support to both residents and staff.
You will have proven experience managing a successful care home, a positive, can-do attitude, knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and other relevant legislation (including HSE requirements), a strong understanding of governance and a passion for elderly care. Qualifications such as NVQ Level 5 in Management & Leadership will be beneficial, however are not essential.

About the role:
6. Provide strong leadership to all staff members, inspiring them to deliver exceptional care and service
7. Ensure the home is compliant with all regulatory requirements (CQC) and follows best practices
8. Manage budgets, resources and financial performance to maintain a cost-effective operation
9. Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families and the local community
10. Implement and oversee care plans tailored to the individual needs of each resident
11. Create and maintain a welcoming, homely and luxurious atmosphere that aligns with our values
12. Drive occupancy by ensuring the home is a desirable place for potential residents and their families
13. Oversee staff recruitment, development and retention, ensuring continuous professional development
About you:
14. Proven experience managing a successful care home, preferably within a luxury setting, is essential
15. RGN Qualification and valid NMC pin number is beneficial, however not essential
16. A solid understanding of CQC regulations
17. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a compassionate resident-first approach
18. A passion for delivering high-quality care in a luxury, person-centred environment
19. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and drive financial performance
20. Qualifications such as NVQ Level 5 in Management & Leadership is beneficial, however not essential
21. Well organised with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
