We are part of the Berkshire Health Visiting service, the recipient of the Clinical Team of the Year award in our most recent staff awards. If you are an enthusiastic and dynamic nursery nurse – whether experienced staff nurse, newly qualified or about to qualify – you could join our forward‑thinking, vibrant health visiting team in Reading. You will receive individualised and effective support from your line manager and colleagues.
You will work within the Reading area to deliver core and targeted services to children aged 0‑5 and their families. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, and a passion for working with children and families are essential.
Responsibilities
* Participate in developing and implementing outcome‑focused care plans and evaluate care given, in partnership with clients.
* Provide support to families using the Solihull approach model in behaviour management, parenting skills and delivering programmes of care to vulnerable families.
* Develop and facilitate Health Visiting drop‑in clinics, and health promotion activities and groups.
* Undertake routine development assessments for children and postnatal contacts with parents.
Qualifications
* Hold a nursery nurse qualification: NNEB or CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education, BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development, or NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
* Hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
