The Role: As a Healthcare Assistant at eGynaecologist, you will be the essential support to our consultants and nurses, ensuring the smooth and safe running of our clinical sessions. You will be a reassuring presence for our patients, helping to alleviate anxiety and maintain the highest standards of clinical care and comfort. Your key responsibilities will include: Clinical Support: Preparing consulting and treatment rooms before clinics, ensuring all necessary equipment sterilise, stocked, and ready for use. Patient Preparation: Welcoming patients, accurately recording baseline observations and chaperoning during examinations and procedures. Assisting with Procedures: Providing direct assistance to clinicians during a range of gynaecological procedures, always ensuring patient safety and dignity. Infection Control: Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control, including the decontamination and sterilisation of instruments according to clinic protocols. Patient Reassurance: Offering emotional support, reassurance, and clear information to patients before and after their consultations or treatments. Clinic Workflow: Managing clinical stock levels, assisting with patient flow to minimise waiting times, and handling samples for laboratory analysis. Team Collaboration: Working seamlessly with the reception and clinical teams to ensure a cohesive and positive experience for every patient. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant, preferably in a gynaecology, womens health, or general practice setting. A recognised Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent NVQ qualification. Phlebotomy certification or experience. A compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgemental nature with a deep understanding of patient confidentiality and dignity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make patients feel at ease. Strong teamwork skills and a flexible, proactive approach to your work. Impeccable personal presentation and a professional manner. Desirable: Experience with chaperoning intimate examinations. Knowledge of CQC standards and clinical governance.
