We are seeking a talentedLandscape Architectto join our dynamic team in Kirklees. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of landscape design and environmental improvement projects, contributing significantly to the council’s environmental and commercial objectives.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Lead and manage landscape design projects from concept through to completion.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver capital projects effectively.
* Ensure all projects comply with statutory regulations, CDM requirements, and council policies.
* Produce high-quality designs, feasibility studies, and contract documentation using AutoCAD and other design software.
* Provide expert technical advice and support for planning applications and environmental management.
* Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and evaluate project performance rigorously.
* Represent the service at various meetings and forums, actively supporting stakeholder engagement.
* Drive commercial opportunities and contribute to the development of the service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree or Diploma in Landscape Design or a related field.
* Membership in the Landscape Institute (MLI); Chartered status is desirable for senior levels.
* Proven project management skills with experience in delivering complex design projects.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and environmental planning.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design tools.
* Strong communication skills and adept at stakeholder engagement.
* Capable of managing resources and mentoring junior staff.
