About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal to join our team. The role will largely involve supporting one solicitor across different aspects of the business. This is an exciting time to join Crest Nicholson with exciting legal work on a variety of issues and a transformation agenda that is ensuring the team exemplifies a modern in‑house department. The legal team’s vision is to be outstanding, providing legal services to a high standard but in a way that is accessible for the business even when the law is at its most complex. Responsibilities
* Using legal knowledge to carry out legal research
* Utilising research to plan approach and strategy
* Providing relevant legal advice to Divisional clients
* Supporting Divisional clients by drafting legal documentation (NDAs, appointments, warranties and contracts)
* Dealing with insurances with broker support
* Carrying out property title reviews
* Providing Building Safety Act 2022 advice including Landlord Certificates
* Providing bespoke training to Divisions on legal matters
Qualifications
* 8 GCSEs, including Mathematics & English – grade B or above (or equivalent) or grade 7 or above for those attaining qualifications in 2017 or afterwards
* 3 A Levels (or equivalent) – minimum grade B
* A qualifying law degree with a minimum 2:1 completed in the last 2 years
* A non‑law degree minimum 2:1 and a pass on a post‑graduate diploma in law (PGDL) or equivalent qualification with a commendation or distinction, also taken in the last 2 years
* Previous relevant work experience is preferred; candidates may be required to demonstrate relevant work experience and/or complete an admissions test
* Successful candidates will undertake a DBS check and must have a permanent right to work in the UK
Location & Working Arrangements
The team is based at the Addlestone office but generally works remotely and travels where needed to deliver the service.
Salary
£37,021 per year – permanent full time, remote.
