We are looking for a Research Evaluation Coordinator to support the Research Strategy & Policy Unit in preparing for the next national research assessment exercise (REF 2029). This part‑time role is fixed‑term (0.6 FTE, 1 year) located at 5 Worcester Street, Oxford, OX1 2BX.

About the Role
Support senior staff and coordinate cross‑cutting initiatives to ensure the effective operation of the RSPU. Coordinate communication for REF 2029, manage specific REF processes, support REF‑related committees and smooth operation of the RSPU office.

* Demonstrable ability to assimilate complex requirements and guidance.
* Excellent organisational skills; diary management, meeting and event coordination, action follow‑up.
* Strong administrative skills; design and implement effective processes, cross‑system data gathering.
* Effective communication, both oral and written, with internal and external audiences.
* Build effective working relationships with colleagues at all seniority levels.
* Self‑management: meet deadlines, work independently and in a team, proactive problem‑solving.
* Attention to detail for complex guidance requiring specialist knowledge.
* Professional discretion, confidentiality, data protection compliance.
* Good IT skills: email, MS Office (Excel, Word), Teams; ability to learn new software.
* Experience in professional services support for REF 2021 or other national research assessment exercises at a higher education institution.
