Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Tamworth
Hours of Work: Mon - Fri 07:30 - 16:00 (40 hours per week)
Job Purpose
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical and mechanical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and diagnosing faults to maintain a safe and functional work environment. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work flexibly across shifts.
Key Accountabilities
1. Plan and prioritise maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion.
2. Order and manage materials and components required for repairs.
3. Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems.
4. Ensure all repair and maintenance work is carried out safely and effectively.
5. Support team members with tasks when required.
6. Maintain compliance with preventative maintenance systems.
7. Complete reports, logs, and inventory management using Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
Role Requirements:
9. Strong understanding of Preventative Maintenance Systems.
10. Skilled in fault finding for electrical and mechanical issues.
11. Recognised Electrical Qualification (17th/18th Edition).
12. Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
14. Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
15. Be prepared to work weekends when required.
