Accounts Officer
Location: Cookstown
Salary: £13.91 per hour | 36.20 hours per week | Monday–Friday
About the Role
We are looking for an Accounts Officer to join our client to provide essential support in income collection and debt recovery. This role is key to ensuring effective financial management and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Apply debt recovery procedures for non-payment cases.
2. Conduct investigatory work, visits, and resolve arrears issues.
3. Support legal processes including County Court proceedings.
4. Respond promptly to customer needs and deliver high-quality service.
5. Interpret and apply policies and procedural guidance.
6. Organise and prioritise workload independently.
7. Collaborate with other teams to achieve income collection goals.
Requirements
8. IT Proficiency: Intermediate
9. Experience: Less than 1 year
10. Qualifications: (i) BTEC Higher or equivalent + 1 year relevant administrative experience, OR (ii) BTEC National or equivalent + 2 years relevant administrative experience, OR (iii) Exceptionally, 3 years relevant administrative experience without formal qualification.
11. Full driving licence and access to own transport.
12. Access NI (Basic) clearance.
