BMW Central, Stoke (MATERNITY COVER - 9 months FTC)
Monday to Friday 8.30-5.00
Salary: £24,500-£26,250 per annum (DOE)
Our BMW Central team is expanding and we’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is an opportunity to develop your skills and establish a long, successful career within the Automotive industry. You will report into Mark Johnston and have access to in-house training.
Responsibilities
* Review and reconcile Debtors and carry out credit control procedures
* Assist with various monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Cashiering responsibilities (banking, petty cash)
* Assist the management teams by resolving accounting queries
* Report discrepancies to the relevant departmental manager
* Liaise with managers on a regular basis, building strong relationships
Required experience and skills
Ideally you will have some exposure within a finance‑orientated role previously, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to reconcile data efficiently. You should have excellent attention to detail and maintain accurate records. Being organised, able to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and take initiative to improve procedures are important. You should be discrete and able to protect confidential information.
