The Role:
As a Director in Accounting Advisory, you will take ownership of client engagements from start to finish, providing expert guidance on complex accounting issues, regulatory compliance, and strategic transactions such as IPOs, acquisitions, and divestitures. You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients while collaborating with Big 4 auditors and internal teams. The role offers flexibility in work location (office/remote/client site) and the chance to make a tangible impact across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through complex accounting issues and driving conclusions.
* Lead operational due diligence for major transactions, including IPOs, acquisitions, stock offerings, and debt raises.
* Deliver financial and regulatory information in line with IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
* Oversee process improvement initiatives and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
* Mentor senior managers, managers, and consultants by fostering professional growth and providing actionable feedback.
* Play an active role in business development efforts, client relationship building, and firm-wide initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
* ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
* 10+ years working for a Top 5 accounting firm is essential.
* Strong technical expertise in IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* Proven ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying client needs and delivering solutions.
