Boeing Defence UK is seeking a dedicated System Administrator to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure team. This role is essential for supporting various technical requirements and contributing to the successful delivery of projects and ongoing operations within a fast-paced environment.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Bristol, UK.
As a System Administrator, you will engage in system integration activities, hardware and software installations, and daily support tasks. Your responsibilities will include configuring and managing workstations and networks to ensure an exceptional user experience. The primary focus will be on supporting services and applications within the Windows system stack.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Continuously seek improvements to align services with industry best practices and Boeing enterprise standards.
2. Respond to events, requests, and incidents logged in management systems.
3. Analyze log files, systems, and network traffic to identify issues.
4. Adhere to well-defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
5. Identify and escalate technical challenges and limitations within the networking environment.
6. Communicate effectively and promptly with key stakeholders.
7. Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
8. Proficiency in Windows Server
9. Experience with Active Directory
10. Familiarity with Windows 11
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
11. Knowledge of Private Key Infrastructure / Certificate Authority
12. Experience with VMWare
13. Familiarity with Dell VXRail or other converged stacks
14. Knowledge of VMware Horizon or other Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions
15. Experience with Exchange (On-Prem)
16. Familiarity with Skype for Business
17. Knowledge of VMWare Unified Access Gateway (UAG)
18. Experience with McAfee EPO/ENS
19. Familiarity with SharePoint
20. Experience with Wyse Dell Thin Clients/WMS
21. Knowledge of Microsoft Network Policy Server (NPS)
22. Familiarity with Dell RP4VM
23. Experience with Dell Networker
