We’re looking for a Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist, to join our Ground Engineering team in Birmingham. What can we offer? Our Ground Engineering Practice covers all aspects of Ground Engineering serving a wide range of end markets including: * Energy. * Buildings (e.g. education, commercial, retail). * Rail. * Highways. * Water. * Defence. * Nuclear Sectors. * Ports & Marine. You will be joining an established team of Ground Engineers within the Midlands region, will be based in the AECOM Birmingham Office and will work closely with colleagues from across the UK & Ireland. Job Duties include: * Delivery : We require ambitious team players with the technical and commercial skills, knowledge and experience to manage tasks and assist the team with the delivery of projects, ensuring technical quality and adherence to budget and programme. * Provide Expertise : Active input to team/client technical review meetings, being prepared to own decisions and put forward alternative ideas and concepts. * Commercial : Maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, being responsive to client requirements. * Mentoring : Owning personal and professional development and assisting colleagues. The position will suit a candidate who has some experience in applying geotechnical design, can work with a high degree of independence, can support colleagues, can provide the geotechnical input to projects from desk study/feasibility through to ground investigation and interpretation to final design including preparation of specifications, interpretive reports, construction drawings and design reports.
