Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Sub Agent with Heavy Civils and Structures experience to join our team working in Birmingham on the HS2 tunnelling, Shaft & Civils project.
Role Purpose:
To lead and control a section of the works, according to a specific discipline across RC Structures, Heavy Civils, Excavations, etc., managing a team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers within the same discipline.
* Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure compliance. Suggests and implements improvements to systems.
* Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes clearly, including managing others in this regard.
* Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights.
* Able to work on own initiative and seek opportunities in line with responsibility level.
* Drafts correspondence to sub-contractors, suppliers, and the Client.
Who we're looking for:
* Civil Engineering experience in Civil Engineering.
* Holds a valid CSCS card.
* Has a UK driving licence.
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field.

We have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
Our work includes:
• 9.3km of viaducts
• 2 twin bore tunnels and 2 cut-and-cover tunnels
• 28 underbridges and 11 underpasses.
