Job Description
Personal Assistant required in Ipswich, Suffolk. 4 hours per week, weekends only. Pay: £12.71 per hour. Job reference: 5261.
Job Purpose
This role is to support a 6-year-old little boy (N) both at home and in the community to access facilities and services and to support him to seek new hobbies and experiences. You will be supporting N both with and without his family present. Previous experience or knowledge of supporting people with SEN is essential. We have 2 pet cats and 2 other high-need children in the household. The successful candidate will be responsible to N’s mother as your employer.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Help to support N and us as a family.
* Assist N with personal care.
* Help N to get the most out of experiences.

* Full driving license and access to your own vehicle.
* Experience or knowledge of supporting people with SEN.
Summary Terms and Conditions
* Hours, days and times of work: 4 hours per week - flexible, to be agreed with the employer. This role is for weekends only.
* Pay rate: £12.71 per hour.
* Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
* Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
* Sick pay: No private sick pay scheme; statutory sick pay (SSP) may apply if eligibility criteria met.
* Pension: No private scheme; statutory obligations via NEST pension scheme.
Post Requirements
* Background check: A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check with Barred List(s) is required.
* Probationary period: 3 months.
* References: Two referees required, one must be current or most recent employer or a character reference if not employed.
