The role
As a Quality Auditor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of our mission to deliver assurance across our Marine sector. This is a dynamic opportunity to influence quality standards and drive continuous improvement across multiple sites. You’ll help ensure our Quality Management System (QMS) is robust, effective, and aligned with our commitment to excellence in defence and engineering.
Day-to-day you’ll have the following responsibilities:
1. Leading internal audits and producing comprehensive reports that drive improvement
2. Supporting site teams with external audit preparation and post-audit actions
3. Advising on assurance matters and attending local management meetings
4. Creating routine and ad-hoc reports on audit performance and non-conformities
5. Benchmarking best practices and sharing insights across teams.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides agile working with 3 days minimum expected in the office but more as required.
Essential experience of the Quality Auditor
6. Solving problems using a range of quality and improvement tools
7. Making informed decisions based on available data
8. Managing risk and multitasking effectively
9. Motivating teams and handling challenging conversations
10. Communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels
Qualifications for the Quality Auditor
11. Educated to Level 2 in the National Qualification Framework (e.g. GCSEs A*–C or equivalent)
12. Completed a relevant technical or vocational qualification at Level 3 (e.g. NVQ, Advanced Apprenticeship)
13. Demonstrated internal audit training and experience
14. Lead Auditor qualification in ISO:
15. Experience in quality assurance within a Defence or Land environment
16. Candidate will require driving licence as likely substantial travel involved.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
