We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience as a Registered Manager to join the leadership team of Oasis Restore, the first secure school in England. Oasis Restore represents a revolution in youth justice: an opportunity for children within the criminal justice system to experience a restorative environment that creates the potential for them to thrive in the future.
The Registered Manager will be key to working within a recently established governance and leadership structure where accountability for outcomes is not solely owned by the Registered Manager. We are in the ramping up stages of establishing a nurturing, therapeutic and educational community that embeds hope, stability, and opportunity for children in our care.
The role and what we are looking for
Your role as the Registered Manager in Restore is a commitment to bettering the outcomes of vulnerable children and imparting your knowledge, experience and training on to others to better the system of care in youth secure estate. The role exists as part of a leadership team within a secure academy trust, benefiting from the organisational learning in governance and leadership within a national academy trust.
This role reports to the Principal Director, working alongside a team of specialists within education, care and health, you will lead on quality assurance of care at Oasis Restore to ensure it achieve the highest quality standards as outlined in the Restore Framework, the Children's Homes Guidance and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework.
You will be a champion of restorative practice, placing relationships at the heart of everything you do and be responsible for ensuring excellent practice. You will be someone who cares about developing others, innovating to improve wider systems and about new policy initiative. You will not be driven by ego, or power, you will be passionate about giving away your insights, wisdom and experience, you will have a healthy approach to challenging the status quo while understanding and maintaining professional relationships and boundaries. You will be committed to helping find a way through, and never giving up.
