Job Description
As the Production Manager you will lead all production activities across a large-scale manufacturing site in Swansea. You'll translate site strategy into operational excellence, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets are consistently achieved while building a high-performing, future-ready operations team.

Description
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all production activities across production operations on site
* Own site production performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and waste
* Translate business and site strategy into clear operational plans and priorities
* Lead, coach, and develop a large operations team (3 direct reports, ~165 indirect)
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 6S, SMED, waste reduction, and OpEx
* Deliver productivity, quality, and safety targets in line with site KPIs
* Support major engineering and capital investment projects
* Optimise working capital through improved inventory management
* Build succession plans, capability development, and training programs across Operations
* Act as a visible leader, role-modelling safety-first behaviours at all times
Profile
Ideal Candidate Profile
You'll be a confident, hands-on production leader with credibility to lead on the shop floor.
You'll bring:
* 5-7+ years' management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Strong background in production leadership within complex operations
* Proven experience delivering Operational Excellence / CI initiatives
* Excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Strong commercial and financial awareness (budgets, cost control, KPIs)
* Ability to make clear, timely decisions in a high-pressure environment
* Engineering or Business degree preferred (Black Belt / advanced qualifications advantageous)
