Job Description
This is a fixed-term post for 6 months from the start date. As this is a term-time position, the salary will be pro-rata to the hours worked.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Clerical/Administrative Assistant to join our friendly team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and rewarding environment.
Reporting directly to the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient clerical and administrative service supporting the operations of Kilpatrick School.
Your duties will include ensuring the smooth running of the school office, providing a welcoming reception service, responding to enquiries via telephone or visitors, managing and maintaining school data, and ensuring information is accurate and up to date on computerised systems.
General office duties include photocopying, filing, document preparation, mail handling, assisting with transport and trip arrangements, and routine cash handling (e.g., receiving and recording payments for school activities and uniforms). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
Requirements
This position is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details can be found here.
Preferred applicants will need to become members of the PVG scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer.
Responsibilities
