Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £35,117 to £44,704 per annum for an exceptional candidate (includes 10% recruitment incentive)
We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering (Machinist) to join our Engineering department, where you will deliver both practical and theoretical sessions across a range of engineering units.
Your role will include:
* Deliver practical and theoretical teaching across machining, mechanical assembly, hand‑fitting and maintenance units.
* Support learners in understanding technical information, working safely and developing efficient working practices.
* Provide high‑quality, industry‑relevant training.

* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Confidence in delivering high quality, industry relevant training
Essential Requirements
* Hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
* Have experience in a relevant industry and/or educational setting
* Practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, including use of a centre lathe and conventional vertical turret milling machine
* Hold GCSE A*-C / 9-4 in English and Maths or equivalent
* An IQA qualification is desirable but not essential
