The RoleWe are working with a weing and supportive primary school in Moorthorpe, South Wakefield, who are seeking an experienced Year 1 Primary Teacher to join their team from February half-term until Easter.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and knowledgeable Key Stage 1 teacher who can provide high‑quality teaching and learning, ensuring continuity and positive oues for pupils during this period.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 1 National Curriculum
2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
3. Use effective behaviour management strategies
4. Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress
5. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support staff
6. Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Previous experience teaching in Year 1 / KS1 is essential
9. Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
10. Confident classroom management skills
11. Reliable, adaptable, andmitted to maintaining high standards
12. Able to hit the ground running and build positive relationships quickly
