The Healthcare Support Worker role is varied and busy and involves supporting Registered Nurses in planning, delivering and evaluating care. You will work a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. We are seeking positive, caring individuals with a can-do attitude to join our multidisciplinary teams.
Note: this vacancy does not include Paediatrics or Maternity ward vacancies. We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Requirements
You must be a minimum of 18 years old to apply and willing to work a minimum of 23 hours per week. You must be able to commit to the standard shift pattern for this role, which includes long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Eligibility notes: This vacancy is for external candidates or HHFT employees who are not Healthcare Support Workers. If you currently work at HHFT as a HCSW and wish to change roles, please contact your line manager.

Essential
* Able to demonstrate current knowledge and identify own learning needs
* IT literate
* GCSE/Equivalent qualifications or recognised alternative knowledge
* ESOL Level 2 or equivalent if English is not first language
* NVQ Level 2 in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards an equivalent award
Desirable
* GCSE Standard Pass (grades 4 and above) or equivalent
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or higher in Health or Health and Social Care
* Previous experience in a Health/Health and Social Care role; understanding of NHS/Social care systems
Experience
* Able to demonstrate current knowledge and identify own learning needs
* Previous NHS experience or Health and Social Care experience is desirable
