We’re looking for a Project Engineering Manager to join our Reading Centre of Excellence and lead multi‑discipline teams across major FEED and EPCm projects. You’ll be part of a business that’s delivering everything from hydrogen and carbon capture to large‑scale energy infrastructure around the world. Responsibilities What you’ll be doing Lead people, not just processes Set the tone for culture, collaboration and ethical leadership Champion HSSE principles in how we design and deliver Support, guide and grow a multi‑discipline engineering team Own the engineering delivery Lead engineering across concept, FEED, EPCm and PMC Keep scope, schedule and progress on track Bring clarity, structure and direction to complex project environments Keep stakeholders aligned through clear, open communication Drive quality and smarter ways of working Use good judgement and data‑driven insights to make solid decisions Review and approve key engineering documents and strategies Embrace digital tools and information management to boost consistency and efficiency Identify risks early and keep the team ahead of them Help the team do their best work Build trust and encourage a problem‑solving mindset Support performance, development and cross-discipline coordination Address challenges quickly and fairly, keeping the team motivated and focused Represent the project Engage with clients and partners in a confident, collaborative way Support multi‑office delivery and high‑value engineering centres Step in for the Project Manager when needed Qualifications What you’ll bring A degree in engineering (Chartered preferred) Strong experience leading engineering teams in a home‑office project environment Background in energy transition, hydrogen, CCS, oil & gas, LNG/GTL, refining, petrochemicals, chemicals or power Confidence in decision‑making, communication and guiding multi‑discipline teams Understanding of both lump‑sum and reimbursable delivery models A broad technical foundation paired with leadership instincts Willingness to travel when required
