This is a temporary project funded by the DfE. The APST project brings together a multidisciplinary taskforce of advisory inclusion teachers, an educational psychologist, counsellor, inclusion support workers, early help adviser and reintegration mentor. One of their remits is to support pupils in Years 5 to 8 who are having difficulties attending school, likely due to an unmet need/SEND (but who don’t meet criteria for support from the Education Health Needs team). The taskforce will collaboratively assess needs, so they are fully understood, develop bespoke support plans and deliver targeted interventions. Pupils will be identified by data from The Woodlands EHN team, Education Durham, and Inclusion Panels.
