An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a forward thinking, internationally recognised organisation. The role will support the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies aligned to overall business objectives, delivering year on year productivity improvements and sustainablemercial value.

Your new role
1. Deliver year on year cost savings through effective sourcing and category management strategies
2. Lead supplier relationship management, including negotiation, performance management, and continuous improvement
3. Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, innovation, and process optimisation
4. Manage the end to end procurement lifecycle, including contracts,pliance, and risk management
5. Identify, assess, and mitigate sourcing, contractual, and regulatory risks
6. Promote total cost of ownership and support the adoption of improved procurement practices
7. Monitor market trends and cost drivers to identify savings opportunities and mitigate inflationary pressures
8. Resolve supplier related issues and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply
What you'll need to succeed
9. CIPS qualification attained or working towards (desirable)
10. Demonstrable experience in category management within a procurement environment
11. Strongmercial acumen with the ability to deliver measurable cost savings
12. Effectivemunicator with a collaborative and relationship focused approach
13. Proven track record of continuous improvement delivery
14. Sound contract knowledge, ideally with experience in contract drafting and negotiation
15. Acts with integrity and demonstrates behaviours aligned to an inclusive workplace
