Social Worker – Secondment Opportunity
Job number: 9948. Fixed term contract until 30 April 2027. 37 hours per week, £39,862–£41,771 per annum, Grade J. Countywide, primarily West and Breckland area.
Overview
We are pleased to offer a full‑time position for a Social Worker to cover maternity leave within the exciting Enhanced Family Help Team (EFHT). The EFHT is a specialist team that works intensively and collaboratively with children and their families to identify the root causes of presenting and persistent neglect and, by building on family strengths and support, reduce the risk of neglect continuing.
Responsibilities
You will work collaboratively with a family practitioner, home‑based support worker, and clinician to build a thorough understanding of each child’s and family’s needs. Together, you will develop strong, purposeful relationships and create clear, family‑led plans that promote sustained, meaningful change. The team is committed to working holistically and inclusively with families to build on their strengths, assess risks and patterns, and identify barriers to consistently meeting children’s needs. Through meaningful engagement with children, families, and their wider networks, we develop clear, multi‑disciplinary plans that promote sustained, positive change.
Qualifications
We are seeking a motivated Social Worker committed to relationship‑based practice and supporting families across the county where long‑term concerns relating to neglect have been identified.
