We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in London, who are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in ensuring health and safety standards are maintained across a range of projects. You'll be working closely with site teams, management, and external stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture and support the safe delivery of works across various sites in London.

Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, and training programmes.

Provide competent, practical HSW advice and guidance to staff and managers across office and project environments.
*
Foster a positive safety culture by working collaboratively with employees, subcontractors, and senior leadership.
*
Carry out regular site inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of performance KPIs.
*
Liaise effectively with Principal Contractors to ensure site teams meet contractual and HSW responsibilities.
*
Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure consistent adherence to company HSW policies and best practices.
*
Stay up to date with relevant health and safety legislation, ensuring company procedures remain compliant.
*
Lead or assist in incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
*
Proactively maintain professional development by attending relevant training sessions, events, and industry seminars.
*
Use internal IT systems to manage project documentation, safety records, and templates efficiently.
*
Support overall quality assurance and ensure proper document control across all safety-related records.
*
Perform additional duties as needed to support the company’s HSW goals and continuous improvement.
