Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Events Executive to plan and deliver a diverse programme of business events for our members and the wider business community. From networking breakfasts and seminars to large-scale conferences and awards evenings, you will ensure every event runs smoothly and delivers real value to participants. Key Responsibilities §Plan, organise, and deliver the Chamber’s annual calendar of events, both in-person and online. §Manage event logistics, including utilising our event CrowdComms app, venue sourcing, catering, AV/technical requirements, health and safety assessments, delegate registrations, and on-the-day delivery. §Oversee event marketing in collaboration with the marketing team, including ensuring events are on line and social media, and website promotion and monitoring event bookings. §Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, sponsors, and speakers. §Provide excellent customer service to members and delegates before, during, and after events. §Monitor budgets, track income and expenditure, and ensure events are delivered within agreed financial targets. §Gather delegate feedback and use insights to continuously improve event delivery. Person Specification Essential: §Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events/projects simultaneously. §Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. §Proven experience in event planning, delivery, or project coordination. §Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. §A customer-focused approach with high attention to detail. §Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management tools (e.g., Eventbrite, CRM systems). §Flexible approach, including willingness to work occasional early mornings or evenings for events. Desirable: §Experience working within a membership organisation, business support body, or not-for-profit. §Knowledge of the local business community. §Marketing and social media skills.
