Production Engineer - Aerospace & DefenceProduction; Manufacturing; Operations; Engineering; Aerospace; DefenceISO 9001; Value Stream Mapping, 6S, KanBan, Kaizen, MRL, PFMEA and SPCKidderminster, Worcestershire£35,000 - £45,000 + excellent bens.A cutting edge Aerospace & Defence organisation have a unique opportunity for a Production Engineer to join their Operations team.Production Engineering defines how the product will be manufactured by the production teams including the design packaging enabling the right quantity of components / product are delivered to support the speed of the production process.The department also reviews efficiencies and eliminates waste within the manufacturing process ensuring delivery of high quality products to clearly defined standards.Key areas of responsibility for the role includes:Responsible for increasing manufacturing productivity by an agreed % per annum in line with Site targetsResponsible for supporting operations on daily issuesResponsible for leading Capex projects from justification through specification, procurement and validationLead / attend engineering / technical review meetings and present work status and provide feedback where requiredTo work closely with the Quality Engineers to improve equipment capability in line with site specific targetsAssess the manufacturing requirements associated with a product, compare to existing capabilities and make recommendations for developmentThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:A HNC or HND qualification or higher in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalentPrevious proven experience in a production manufacturing environmentPrevious experience within a production environment in a Manufacturing Engineering rolePrevious experience in lean manufacturing tools and techniques, including, but not limited to; value stream mapping, 6S, KanBan, Kaizen, MRL, PFMEA and SPCExperience in Manufacturing Engineering in an ISO 9001 environmentExperience in project delivery and problem solvingExperience of operating within a strong H&S Culture
