Volunteer Photographer / Videographer (Community Wellbeing)
Wellbeing With Emil (CIC) | Volunteer | Birmingham (Sparkhill, Sparkbrook, Kings Heath & Stirchley)
Who we are
Wellbeing With Emil is a Community Interest Company (not-for-profit) supporting individuals and communities through coaching, counselling, mentoring and wellbeing programmes. We’re looking for a photographer/videographer to help us capture the real story of our work — with warmth, dignity and care.
What we’re looking for
A self-motivated, friendly creative who can produce high-quality, varied images and/or short video clips that capture the atmosphere of our sessions, community events and wellbeing activities.
What you’ll do
* Capture a mix of action shots, group moments and detail shots that tell the story of the day
* Film short clips for social media (Reels/Shorts) where appropriate
* Do basic editing and share the finished files with us via a shared drive
* Help us build a small, organised library of images/video for our website, socials, newsletters and promotional materials
This role will suit you if you…
* Have photography/videography experience
* Have your own kit you can confidently operate
* Are comfortable following a brief, but also spotting great moments independently
* Enjoy meeting people and can ask for consent in a respectful way
* Can work sensitively in wellbeing settings (people may be sharing personal experiences)
Time commitment
We’d love support with a handful of regular slots per month, including a mix of daytime and occasional evening sessions. Everything is agreed in advance, and we’ll work around your availability — consistency matters more than volume.
Safeguarding, confidentiality & consent
This role requires a sensitive, professional approach. You will need a clean DBS and to follow our safeguarding, confidentiality and consent procedures at all times, including obtaining informed consent before capturing any images or footage.
What you’ll gain
* Portfolio development with purpose – meaningful, real-world content capturing community impact
* Experience in the community wellbeing space – behind-the-scenes insight into how wellbeing programmes are delivered ethically and sensitively
* Exposure to social entrepreneurship – learn how a Community Interest Company operates, grows, and creates measurable benefit
* Mentoring and creative collaboration – supportive direction, clear briefs, and space to develop your style and confidence (especially helpful if you’re building your creative career)
* A chance to build connections with community practitioners and projects — ideal for anyone exploring community work, wellbeing, social impact, or the charity/CIC sector
