Critical M&E Shift Leader – Slough
Location: Slough
Salary: £59,000 + £4,000 Shift Allowance + 10% Annual Bonus
Hours: Continental Shift Pattern (24/7 rotation)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a 24/7 shift-based engineering team delivering high-quality, business-critical maintenance services within a live data centre environment.
The Role As a Critical M&E Shift Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of all critical systems on site. You will deliver planned preventative maintenance, respond swiftly to faults, and support the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.
Please note: You must be eligible to pass DBS clearance.

Key Responsibilities
10. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis
11. Maintenance on UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, LV/HV switchgear, Transformers, Generators and backup power systems and Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
12. Use BMS (Building Management System) and DCIM tools to monitor: Power loads Voltage/current readings Temperature impacts on electrical equipment
13. Supervise and support specialist subcontractors during planned and reactive works
14. Ensure all work complies with site procedures and approved RAMS
15. Complete work orders within designated maintenance windows
16. Conduct routine environmental checks (temperature, humidity, and space conditions)
17. Log and manage issues through the helpdesk system, ensuring SLA compliance
18. Review subcontractor competencies prior to issuing permits to work
19. Escalate any issues affecting site availability, safety, or security
20. Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety standards
Requirements
21. Trade qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in building services
22. City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical qualification
23. HVAP Certification
24. Strong knowledge of building services systems
25. Experience within hard and soft services facilities management (minimum 5 years preferred)
26. Excellent client-facing and communication skills
27. Experience in critical environments is advantageous
