JOB DESCRIPTION
Engage with third parties to find additional work for the Hadley transport business. To increase efficiency around the current business model by reducing empty vehicle mileage through backloading and sub-contracting. To grow the profitability of the business by promoting our transport services and abilities to existing Hadley customers in addition to generating business.
THE ROLE
1. Generate an email to advise suppliers of available vehicles.
2. Review available loads from external companies.
3. Match available loads to current schedule of work as provided by the transport planner.
4. Look for additional subcontracting work that will allow utilization of vehicles to increase profitability.
5. Provide quotes to customers for subcontracting work.
6. Engage with subcontractors to fulfill additional loads.
7. Monitor requests through website.
8. Responsible for running reports highlighting additional business generated through the role.
9. Work towards defined targets for new business.
10. Support the transport planner in subcontracting out loads or part loads that we cannot facilitate.
