Position Details: Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist Job Type: Full time/part-time hours available from Monday – Friday Location: Wealden District of East Sussex Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum with an extensive benefits package including learning and development opportunities, NHS pension, free 24/7 independent counselling service, free membership to a reward and discount platform, access to Blue Light Card and other NHS Discount Schemes plus much more. Team: Supported by GP Partners, salaried GPs, Care Co-ordinator, Social Prescriber, Mental Health Practitioners, Pharmacists and ANPs plus clinical administration team. About You: Completion of an undergraduate degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Experience as a pharmacist, demonstrated within a practice portfolio. An awareness of common acute and long-term conditions. May hold or be working towards an independent prescribing qualification. Recognises priorities when problem-solving and identifies deviations from normal pattern and is able to refer to seniors or GPs when appropriate. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be organised, patient and empathetic. Main Duties: Conduct long-term condition clinics and clinical medication reviews. Make recommendations for medicine optimisation and safety. Support staff with prescription and medication queries as well as manage repeat prescriptions and monitoring tests. Lead medicines optimisation and quality improvement. Provide training on therapeutics and medicines optimisation and critically evaluate literature and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
