Key Accountabilities Research support: Assist in designing, conducting, and analysing research related to digital innovation and transformation, including data collection, literature reviews, and report writing Disciplinary knowledge: you should have knowledge of technology adoption and diffusion as well as implementation and management of information systems. Projects are likely to be related to artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technologies Teaching & Learning support: Contribute to the development of teaching materials, and support digital education pedagogic initiatives Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with industry partners, policymakers, and academic peers to facilitate knowledge exchange and drive impactful research outcomes Creating impact: Help translate research findings into real-world applications by developing insights, frameworks, and recommendations that support external stakeholders Any other duties within the scope and general nature of the role which may be required The Person Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Demonstrable expertise in technology adoption, diffusion, and implementation in digital transformation Ability to critically assess and evaluate concepts/theories to develop original research solutions Strong knowledge of quantitative methods and data management related to social science research High-level analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, both in writing and verbally Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work within tight deadlines Experience in presenting research at academic conferences and stakeholder engagement events, as well as in published formats (e.g., journal articles, book chapters, reports) Desirable: Knowledge of qualitative methods and data management in social science research A track record of journal publications Qualifications A doctorate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Systems Management, Business, Digital Innovation, or related disciplines) Newcastle University is a global University where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
