Job Description:
Visual Merchandising Manager working for a global Beauty brand.
Location: Ideally based near Glasgow due to the head office, but open to candidates in London/UK willing to travel to HQ monthly, expenses paid.
Start date: Beginning of September, 3-month FTC, likely extendable to 6 months.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising, the VM Manager manages and supports the global Visual Merchandising strategy, working with internal and external stakeholders, developing fixture and event designs, and ensuring brand message consistency across retailer channels. Responsible for delivering innovative retail experiences aligned with brand strategy and business goals across all physical channels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Visual Merchandising execution and store expression per brand guidelines, collaborating on POS materials for all distribution points.
* Create CPAs/schedules; assess and flag risks for VM projects.
* Maintain the VM Master List for all projects, flag risks, and propose solutions.
* Align retailer reset/rebuild updates and promos with the VM master calendar, ensuring timely delivery.
* Create VM design briefs based on input from Sales, Marketing, and Retail partners.
* Develop planograms and optimize shelf productivity with Sales, considering manufacturing details.
* Handle POs, track CAPEX/OPEX costs, and maintain the VM budget tracker.
Role requirements:
* Minimum 5 years in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Beauty or FMCG.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or Visual Merchandising.
* Strong understanding of technical aspects and manufacturing processes.
* Ability to interpret technical and manufacturing drawings.
* Experience in project management for large-scale projects.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Confident in presenting VM concepts and sharing risks/solutions with stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and design software including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, Fusion.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
