Overview
Synergy Group, a fast-growing B2B events company, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive sponsorship and partnership revenue across our portfolio of high-impact events, including executive dinners, summits, and roundtable experiences.
You’ll be responsible for identifying, pitching, and securing commercial partnerships with senior decision-makers across global tech and software companies, helping them connect with and influence the world’s leading business leaders. This is a senior individual role with a clear path to leadership, offering the opportunity to build and eventually lead your own business development team as Synergy continues its rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities
* Sponsorship Sales: Generate new business by selling event sponsorships and partnership packages to senior decision-makers across multiple sectors.
* Revenue Growth: Take ownership of revenue targets and deliver consistent results through a consultative, value-driven sales approach.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing partners, ensuring high retention and satisfaction levels.
* Market Development: Identify new commercial opportunities, trends, and sectors to expand Synergy’s event portfolio.
* Proposal Creation: Develop tailored sponsorship proposals and presentations that align client objectives with event opportunities.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other areas of the business to ensure sponsors achieve maximum ROI and brand impact.
* Event Attendance: Represent Synergy at UK and international events, fostering client relationships face-to-face and driving continued business growth.
* CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records, pipelines, and forecasting through our CRM system (Hubspot).
Essential Skills
* 3+ years of experience in a sales role
* Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally in event sponsorship, media, or similar high-value solution sales
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Excellent relationship-building and presentation skills at a senior level
* Results-driven, resilient, and highly self-motivated
* Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on new revenue opportunities
* Confident communicator, both on the phone and in person
Desired Skills
* Experience in the B2B events, media, or information services sectors
* Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot or Salesforce)
* Interest in business leadership, technology, or enterprise markets
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members

Employment details: Full-time, Start Date: ASAP, Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per year (DOE) + uncapped commission (OTE £100k+)
