An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a full time post as a Rehabilitation Instructor in the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatients team between the Wisbech and Doddington physiotherapy departments. Depending on service demand, you may be asked to work in other Dynamic Health locations. This role involves working with the physiotherapy and Specialist Service Integrated Team to enhance patients’ rehabilitation and outcomes, assisting with the next steps in physiotherapy treatment by motivating and advising patients on effective management strategies.

The candidate will be responsible for their own caseload of patients for exercise-based rehabilitation, as well as leading rehabilitation classes and pain management groups, and contributing to the development of the service.

Relocation expenses will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

* Manage own caseload of patients for exercise-based rehabilitation, including re-assessments and documentation.
* Lead rehabilitation classes and pain management groups; promote self-management and home exercise programs.
* Work with the musculoskeletal physiotherapy team to implement service provision for patients to access appropriate exercise programmes.
* Motivate and advise patients on correct exercise management and ensure a consistent approach to patient care.
* Provide high quality therapy services in the outpatient MSK department and maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation.
* Undertake rehabilitation classes for problems such as Osteoarthritis, spinal pain and chronic pain management.
* Hold responsibility for own caseload with flexible teamwork under supervision; monitor and progress patient progress using subjective and objective measurements.
* Conduct mobility assessments and provide appropriate walking aids as required; coordinate and progress rehabilitation groups independently.
* Maintain, monitor and stock control of materials and equipment within the rehabilitation setting.
* Promote understanding of the aims of physiotherapy treatment and ensure a consistent approach to patient care; link with exercise referral schemes and other agencies promoting health and wellbeing.
* Report regularly on patient progress and non-clinical incidents; ensure safe and competent use of gym equipment, patient appliances and aids.


Qualifications and requirements

* Strong background in exercise physiology, with qualifications that may include a sports/physiology related degree and/or a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification and ongoing CPD qualifications; evidence of training in rehabilitation and exercise referral prescription.
* In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology with demonstrated application through experience in exercise rehabilitation in individual and class-based settings.
* Flexible to work within a team structure and to respond to service demand, including possible relocation within the region.
