An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to work in an excellent learning disability service based in Kendal, Cumbria. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.
This service provides specialist support for individuals with challenging behaviour and high support needs, aiming to care for them in the least restrictive setting that is also structured enough to meet their ongoing needs and manage risks.
Requirements:
* Registered with the HCPC
* BPS accredited
* Chartered Member of the BPS
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in assessment of referrals and provide initial assessments for service users
* Deliver high-quality assessment and therapeutic interventions, making autonomous clinical decisions
* Work therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, using structured psychometric and clinical methods
* Formulate and implement psychological treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
* Be professionally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
* Experience applying psychological knowledge to clinical or neuro settings
* Experience working with clients with cognitive deficits
* Experience conducting research and project work
