Applications are invited for the above full-time, fixed term post (12 months) based in the Pathology Department, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The successful applicant will be required to produce pathology reports from digital files and handwritten notes, authorise Pathology reports, liaise with external reporting services, Pecos requisitioning, take and transcribe minutes and supervise Clerical Officer staff ensuring workload is prioritised accordingly for service provision.
Knowledge of Cellular Pathology medical terminology, excellent keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft Word packages are essential. In addition, it would be desirable for applicants to have had exposure to taking and transcribing minutes, have good interpersonal and organisational skills, a professional attitude and be able to work as part of a team.
Applicants will have an HNC in Office Administration or an equivalent level of experience in an NHS Cellular Pathology Admin role.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working in a busy, progressive Cellular Pathology Laboratory Office within a large Teaching Hospital.
