SEND & Alternative Provision Mentors / Tutors - Hereford Area IMPORTANT: Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for these opportunities.
Quantum Scholars are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to provide 1:1 SEND tuition and mentoring support to pupils across Hereford and the surrounding area.
The young people we support are often outside of mainstream education and may present with a range of needs including SEND, SEMH, autism, behavioural challenges, trauma, anxiety, medical needs, or school avoidance.
This is rewarding work where consistent support and positive relationships can make a genuine difference to a young person's confidence and future.

* Teaching or teaching assistance
* Youth or behaviour support work
* SEND or pastoral support roles
* PRU or alternative provision settings
* Coaching, mentoring, or therapeutic support
We are particularly interested in people who are patient, adaptable, and able to build trust with young people who may have struggled within education.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 tuition and mentoring support to primary and secondary-aged pupils
* Support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
* Sessions may take place in homes, schools, community settings, online, or through hybrid arrangements
* Flexible opportunities available across Hereford and nearby areas
There is strong immediate demand for tutors, with ongoing referrals expected throughout the academic year.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
* Ability to travel locally within Hereford
* Driving and access to a vehicle would be highly advantageous
