Location: Dewsbury Sector: Civil Engineering | Highways & Rail
12 month Contract - £400 - £450 per day (CIS or LTD Company)
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of both projects, with a primary focus on the relief road scheme, ensuring strong cost control, subcontract management and NEC contract administration. The role will involve close collaboration with site teams, Project Managers and the supply chain to ensure works are delivered efficiently and commercially sound.
Key Responsibilities
* Full commercial management of deep drainage and civils packages
* Preparation and management of CVRs, forecasts and cost reporting
* Subcontract procurement, negotiation and management
* Administration of NEC contracts, including compensation events and change control
* Valuation of works and preparation of applications for paymentManagement of variations, claims and final accounts
* Monitoring project costs and identifying risks and opportunities
* Liaising with site teams to track progress and ensure accurate reporting
* Supporting both highways and rail project requirements
What Were Looking For
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
* Strong background in deep drainage and heavy civils (essential)
* Experience working on highways / road schemes
* Rail experience beneficial
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
* Ability to work across multiple projects and manage workload effectively
* Confident communicator with strong commercial awareness
