Teesside Airport Darlington International Airport Summary of Role: To efficiently manage and direct ramp activities to deliver high quality products/services to our customers providing the necessary services to aircraft as required. This includes (but is not limited) to manage the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo and mail, sorting and transporting baggage to and from the aircraft and the operation of specialist ground servicing equipment. This position cover a Monday to Sunday on a shift rotation. Holidays are equivalent of 25 days plus bank holidays. The shifts mean these will be factored in. Plus we have an annual Company bonus dependant on overall global profitability: Principal Responsibilities and Activities: Airside Areas Maintain applicable safety and performance standards. Develop and build good relations with customers and Airport authorities. Unload and load baggage and cargo from Aircraft in a safe and efficient manner. Report irregularities and take appropriate action. Participate and contribute to internal and customer meetings. Marshal aircraft precisely to and from gates Participate in safety meetings/briefings. Operate Ground service equipment. Provide excellent customer service to passengers and airlines. Provide cleaning, servicing, and replenishment tasks such as cabin cleaning, lavatory servicing, water replenishment etc Training Within your role as a Ramp Agent, you will be required to partake in a training program which will allow you to operate relevant equipment and carry out duties in a safe manner in line with the relevant practices/procedures. Other duties Provide general administrative support to the Ground Handling Team and business. Provide holiday/absence cover for colleagues within the team when necessary. Travel to other sites may also be required. Flexibility with shifts to cover business critical needs.
