Teaching Personnel are seeking to attract bright graduates who are considering a career in teaching but wish to gain practical experience first before enrolling on initial teacher training to join our Future Teacher’s Programme.
Location: Blackburn, Lancashire.
Start date: September 2024.
The successful Future Teachers will work as a Cover Supervisor in an Ofsted rated “outstanding” secondary school in Blackburn, Lancashire. You will be required to cover lessons during the sort-term absence of the regular class teacher who will have set work for the duration. Your role will be vital in ensuring a high-quality learning experience is delivered to all students – giving you a real insight into the role of a teacher.
Placements will be between one term and a full academic year and will provide you with valuable insight into the role of a qualified teacher to help you decide if this is the career for you, before embarking on initial teaching training.
During the placement, you will work full-time and receive weekly pay.
Possible duties and experiences:
* Carry out several classroom/lesson observations to experience varying teaching styles.
* Plan a classroom display for a topic.
* Plan a lesson for a specific subject/topic.
* Judge the learning outcomes of pupils.
* Provide small group and 1:1 tuition to help raise pupil attainment.
* Support pupils with coursework and project work.
* Provide cover supervision.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
