Job Purpose
To lead, manage, and develop a high-quality supported housing service for children and young people. The Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring that the service meets regulatory requirements, delivers positive outcomes, and upholds the highest standards of safeguarding, care, and support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Management
2. Provide clear leadership to staff teams, ensuring high standards of professional practice.
3. Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Ensure staffing levels and competencies meet the needs of the young people and regulatory requirements.
5. Regulatory Compliance
6. Maintain registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Ofsted, CQC, CIW depending on location).
7. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
8. Prepare for and respond to inspections, audits, and quality assurance processes.
9. Safeguarding and Quality of Care
10. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the service.
