TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading and fast-growing accountancy firm in Sussex with multiple offices across the county. They provide a full range of specialist accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory, and financial planning services to thousands of businesses and individuals.
The firm is seeking an experienced General Practice Manager to join their Brighton office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking and supportive practice.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering proactive and high-quality accounting and advisory services
Prepare year-end accounts for a range of SMEs under FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105.
Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600s.
Review VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Manage, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants and administrative staff.
Oversee workloads, performance, and professional development.
Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and contribute to new business initiatives.
Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, accounting standards, and internal quality procedures.
Collaborate with senior management to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Act as the main point of contact for key clients, maintaining strong and consistent communication.
Requirements
Skills and Experience Required
ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent experience within an accountancy practice.
Strong technical knowledge of FRS102, FRS102A, and FRS105.
Confident in managing accounts preparation from start to final sign-off.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
Ambitious, career-driven, and eager to progress.
Comfortable leading and mentoring junior staff in a collaborative environment.

The team typically works full-time in the office to ensure collaboration and support, with some flexibility to work from home offered following successful completion of probation.
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Alternative working patterns may be considered, with a minimum of 30 hours across 4 days per week.
