National Account Manager – Field Based (UK) Are you an experienced sales professional looking to step into a high-impact national role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation in the commercial foodservice solutions sector, working with major UK accounts and shaping the future of kitchen innovation.

About the Role
As a National Account Manager, you will lead key client relationships, drive targeted growth, and uncover new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with internal teams to deliver best-in-class solutions that meet the evolving needs of the foodservice industry.

What You’ll Be Doing
Develop, secure, and maintain product specifications within a portfolio of national and strategic accounts.
Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements in line with business objectives.
Build strong relationships at all levels, from board members to field sales teams, purchasing managers, equipment specifiers and food development departments.
Identify new product and market opportunities by tracking trends, consumer needs, and competitor activity.
Stay current on market conditions and industry developments through research and networking.
Provide detailed reports on customer needs, competitive insights, and opportunities for new products.
Collaborate effectively with internal sales, marketing, and external partners to generate leads and develop new business strategies.
Participate in trade shows, events, and industry conventions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records daily.
Support swift resolution of customer issues and complaints.
Plan travel and customer visits across the UK to maximise productivity.
Contribute flexibly as part of the wider sales team, supporting colleagues as needed.
Create and manage pricing structures, including implementation of price adjustments.
Work alongside the culinary team on trials and product implementation.
Gather feedback and share insights with internal teams for continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For
Experience:
A proven track record in sales, ideally within the commercial catering equipment or related industry.
Experience selling to both end users and distributors, with a history of developing accounts and achieving targeted growth.
Ability to demonstrate commercial equipment and deliver effective presentations.

Skills & Knowledge:
Proactive, confident decision-maker aligned with wider business goals.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships at all levels.
Commercially aware, skilled negotiator with strong analytical ability.
High attention to detail and ability to monitor performance accurately.
Curious, strategic thinker who explores opportunities fully and creatively.
Flexible and supportive team player.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to produce high-quality reports and documentation.
Experience using CRM systems to maximise pipeline visibility and customer management.
Willing to travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays (approx. 2–3 nights per week).
