We are looking for a Quality & Compliance Officer who will help protect service integrity, strengthen standards and support continuous improvement across multiple contracts. This role works across delivery areas and funding streams. It requires adaptability, sound judgement and confidence working with different frameworks and requirements. If you are evidence-led, organised and comfortable influencing operational teams, this role will suit you well. What This Role Is Really About This role is about protecting standards and improving practice. You will: Audit delivery against contractual requirements and quality frameworks Identify compliance risks and areas for improvement Provide clear, balanced feedback Support teams to strengthen consistency and quality Track corrective actions and provide assurance reporting You will work across different contracts and standards, which may include IPS Fidelity, DWP requirements, safeguarding frameworks and internal quality expectations. You will need to adapt your approach depending on the contract, while maintaining consistent professional judgement. What You Will Do You will: Conduct scheduled and responsive audits across services Review files, processes and practice against relevant contract standards Produce clear audit findings and practical action plans Track actions through to completion and measure impact Deliver feedback sessions and quality briefings to operational teams Use Excel and digital systems to analyse trends and report riskContribute to governance meetings and continuous improvement initiatives This role requires confidence, organisation and the ability to balance support with accountability. Who This Role Suits You may come from: Quality assurance or audit rolesCompliance or governance positions Contracted or regulated services Employability, skills, education, health or social care Experience of frameworks such as IPS Fidelity is valuable, but the most important quality is your ability to understand and apply contract requirements accurately and consistently. What You Will Bring Essential: Experience in quality assurance, compliance or audit within a contracted or regulated environment Strong attention to detail and evidence-based thinking Experience writing audit findings and improvement plans Confidence working with operational managers Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Confident use of Excel and digital reporting systems Desirable: Experience in employability, skills or education programmes Knowledge of IPS Fidelity or other performance and compliance frameworks A Day in the Life of a Quality & Compliance Officer “My day usually begins by reviewing audit schedules and any emerging risks across contracts. I might carry out a file review for one programme in the morning, checking compliance against funding rules and quality standards. Later, I could review delivery against a different contract framework, identifying where practice needs to improve. After completing checks, I meet with managers to explain findings clearly and agree practical next steps. I focus on what matters most and make sure actions are realistic and time-bound. Throughout the week, I track progress on previous actions, analyse trends using Excel and contribute to governance reporting. The role requires detail, consistency and strong communication.
